Laois County Council is seeking Expressions of Interest for the following:
Provision of Residential Land
Laois County Council is seeking expressions of interest from any landowners interested in disposing of land (Greenfield or Brownfield) with appropriate zoning within the county of Laois for the development of housing.
Advance Purchase Arrangements for Un-commenced Residential Developments
Laois County Council is seeking to purchase un-commenced residential developments through turnkey arrangements for affordable and mixed tenure housing. Home builders and housing developers with planning permission for suitable houses or apartments where construction has not yet commenced are asked to consider entering an advance purchase arrangement with the local authority to provide affordable and mixed tenure housing.
Provision of Vacant and/or Derelict Properties
Laois County Council is seeking expressions of interest in respect of the provision of additional housing through the supply of vacant and/or derelict properties. Proposals are welcome in respect of vacant and/or derelict properties in all our towns and villages.

Draft Cemetery Bye-Laws 2022

Laois County Council Draft Cemetery Bye-Laws
In accordance with the above legislation Laois County Council proposes to make Cemetery Bye-Laws for the Regulation of Cemeteries in the functional area of the County Council of the County of Laois.
The Bye-Laws will apply to all cemeteries under the control or in the ownership of the Council. A copy of the Draft Bye-Laws is available to view, for a period of six weeks from the 18th January 2022 to the 1st March 2022, on the Council’s website www.laois.ie . A hard copy is available free of charge from the Community Section, Áras an Chontae, James Fintan Lalor Avenue, Portlaoise, by contacting 057-8664000 or emailing dce@laoiscoco.ie.
You can make an observation or submission via the following options only;
- Online by registering on https://consult.laois.ie/ where you can then make a submission on the Draft Cemetery Bye-Laws; or
- Via email to dce@laoiscoco.ie; or
- In writing marked “Draft Cemetery Bye-Laws“ to the Administrative Officer, Community Section, Laois County Council, Áras an Chontae, James Fintan Lalor Avenue, Portlaoise, Co. Laois.

Electric Picnic 2022
EP Republic has applied for a LICENCE APPLICATION under the terms of Part XVI of the Planning and Development Act 2000 to 2015 (as amended) for a Proposed Multi Stage Concert event to be held at Stradbally Hall Estate, Stradbally, Co. Laois
The proposed Multi Stage Concert event to be held on 2nd September, 3rd September and 4th September 2022 at Stradbally Hall Estate, Stradbally, Co. Laois, with low key entertainment on 1st September 2022.
General camping facilities from the 2nd September to the 5th September 2022, and family campervan, general campervan and early entry camping facilities for a maximum of 20,000 from the 1st September to the 05th September 2022.
