Laois County Council were delighted this week to welcome a visiting delegation from our sister Cities of Franklin and Williamson Counties, Tennessee.
The County of Laois and the County of Williamson, Tennessee signed a Twinning Agreement/Charter on 7th March 2008. The aim of the twinning between Laois and Williamson Counties is to explore opportunities to promote trade, commerce and tourism, to build on the educational links already developed, to promote awareness of arts, culture and heritage and to promote mutual understanding between the two Counties.
