For the purposes of tying in of new Portlaoise Southern Circular Road

All Businesses in the area will be operating Business As Usual.

In accordance with the provisions of Section 75 of the above Act and Article 12 of the Roads Regulations, 1994, Laois County Council hereby serves notice that it is intended to temporarily close the R-426-0 (New Road) from its junction with the L-63106-0 to its intersection with Lismard Business Park in Portlaoise, Co. Laois. The closure also includes the roundabout where the R–426-0 intersects with the R-941-2.

This complete 24hr closure is scheduled to take place from Monday, 15th July to Sunday 28th July 2019 to facilitate major road works.

Access for businesses/residents will be accommodated. Diversions will be clearly signposted. A map of the diversion route is available for inspection below.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed road closure should do so in writing to the Administrative Officer, Roads Section, Laois County Council, Áras an Chontae, James Fintan Lalor Avenue, Portlaoise not later than 4pm on Monday 8th July 2019.

In accordance with the provisions of Section 75 of the above Act and Article 12 of the Roads Regulations, 1994, Laois County Council hereby gives notice of its decision to temporarily close the R428 (Stradbally to Athy road) approx. 1.5 km east of Stradbally, Co. Laois.

These works are scheduled to take place from Monday 8th July 2019 to Sunday 21st July 2019 to facilitate the construction of a cattle underpass.

Access for residents will be accommodated where possible. Diversions will be clearly signposted.
